After the huge success of Amar Singh Chamkila, Netflix and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali are teaming up again for O Saathi Re, a fresh take on modern emotions and relationships.
Produced by Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment, the series features an exciting cast like Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary, and Arjun Rampal bringing depth to this unique love story.
Imtiaz Ali known for films like Tamasha, Rockstar, Jab We Met, and Love Aaj Kal, will serve as the Creator, Writer, and Showrunner, while also being the Executive Producer alongside Mohit Choudhary. Arif Ali, who directed Netflix’s She, will take charge as the director.
This marks a special return to Netflix for the lead actors. Aditi impressed audiences in Heeramandi, Avinash Tiwary delivered a powerful performance in Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, and Arjun Rampal is gearing up after his role in Rana Naidu Season 2. Their chemistry was already evident in a table read, a sneak peek of which was shared on social media.
Talking about the series, Imtiaz Ali expressed his excitement, saying, “O Saathi Re is a modern story with an old school heart, a fairytale set against the chaos of city life. With a stellar cast and a strong partnership with Netflix, I can’t wait for audiences to experience its magic”.
