
Nani’s HIT 3 is set to release on May 1st, taking advantage of the long weekend. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu the film is produced under Wall Poster Cinema.
With HIT 3 in the race, there are no other Telugu releases that weekend but the film will face tough competition from few Tamil movies.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is also expected to be released on May 1st, though an official confirmation awaits. Suriya’s films usually have a strong opening in Telugu states.
Additionally Vikram’s long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is also aiming for a May 1st release, though there are speculations about a possible date change.
Adding to the competition, Ajay Devgn’s Hindi film Raid 2 is also hitting theaters on the same day. With multiple big releases, HIT 3 will have a tough fight at the box office.
