People Media Factory, the production house behind Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Eagle, has sent a letter to the president of the Telugu Film Chamber asking the film body to keep its promise and provide a solo release to their film. The letter asked the chamber to ensure that no other film releases on February 9 as it has promised to give a solo release.
Ahead of Sankranti, Telugu Film Chamber organised a meeting with the top producers and requested the makers of Ravi Teja’s Eagle to not release the film on Sankranti as it would affect the business of all the films. The festival season had four big releases–Guntur Kaaram, HanuMan, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga–and hence, a request was made to People Media Factory to postpone the release. The chamber and other producers had promised that Eagle would get a solo release.
Later, producer Dil Raju conducted a press meeting and announced that Eagle was postponed for the betterment of the Telugu film industry.
The makers then announced that February 9 was the new release date of Eagle. In a turn of events, Sandeep Kishan recently announced that Ooru Peru Bhairavakona will be released on the same date, which has led to a controversy. At the Bhairavakona promo, When asked about the promise made to Eagle makers, Sandeep Kishan said that he was not informed about it. He added that after a lot of deliberation, they have announced the release date and that the date is important as a lot is at stake for them.
This has led People Media Factory to write a letter to the film chamber. The production house has asked the chamber to honor their promise and take the necessary action to let Eagle have a solo release date. On top of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, other films including Yatra 2 and Laal Salam are also getting released around the same time, which has further enraged the fans of Ravi Teja. It is expected that the producers will come together once again to take a decision.
