Directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Diljit Dosanjh as Chamkila, the album of this musical-drama is just pure magic. Punjabi tracks in Diljit Dosanjh’s voice brought Chamkila’s journey to life, whereas A.R. Rahman’s compositions were the cherry on top. Vocals have been done by Mohit Chauhan, Alka Yagnik, Yashika Sikka, Kailash Kher, among others. Nostalgia plays a big role in human life, and what is better than reviving the charm of early 2000s Bollywood romance? Ishq Vishk Rebound album was the biggest Bollywood musical hit of 2024 with its soft and heartfelt songs, including “Soni Soni,” which had us humming along, while “Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar,” “Chot Dil Pe Lagi,” and “Gore Gore Mukhde Pe” are remakes.
