Singer Monali Thakur ended her live performance in Varanasi on December 22nd after just 45 minutes, citing poor management and unsafe stage conditions.
Concerned about her safety and her team’s, Monali stopped the show and addressed the audience. In a video shared on Instagram by Viral Bhayani, she expressed her disappointment, saying, “The stage is so poorly made, it’s unsafe. My team and I were excited to perform, but this is unacceptable”.
Despite repeated warnings about the stage’s condition, the organizers failed to fix the issues. “I could have hurt myself. My dancers were trying to calm me down, but everything was chaotic,” she explained.
Monali assured her fans of her dedication, saying, “You come for me, so I’m accountable for this”. She openly criticized the organizers, calling them “unethical and irresponsible”.
Apologizing sincerely to her audience, Monali promised to return with a better show in the future, saying, “I’m sorry we have to stop, but I’ll be back for sure”.
