Actor Boman Irani, who has starred in numerous Hindi and Telugu films, including Attarintiki Daredi and Bengal Tiger, is venturing into a new journey of filmmaking. His directorial debut movie, The Mehta Boys, is finally releasing on Amazon Prime Video next month.
The critically acclaimed film premiered at the prestigious 15th Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) in September 2024. Boman also secured the Best Actor Male award in the feature film category at the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto Film Festival and was also honoured with the South Asian Film Association (SAFA) award at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival for the movie. Now, it is gearing up for its India release on OTT on February 7, 2025.
On Thursday, Prime Video shared a poster of the movie and announced its release date on social media. Talking about The Mehta Boys, the film is directed by and also features Boman Irani, alongside actors Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhry, and Puja Sarup in lead roles.

The film centers around a father-and-son duo who barely get along but, under certain circumstances, are compelled to spend 48 hours together. Written by Boman Irani and Alex Dinelaris, The Mehta Boys also made its debut at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa, in November 2024 and opened the Indian Film Festival Berlin in January 2025.
