UK-based band Coldplay fever has gripped India, as it began its tour in the country on January 18. The band performed its second concert in Mumbai on January 19, 2025, at the DY Patil Stadium.
Several videos from the concert have been doing the rounds on the internet; one special clip emerged that showed the band’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin, giving a massive shout-out to Bollywood’s evergreen superstar Shah Rukh Khan. As the group’s frontman showed his love for the actor from the stage, the crowd erupted with joy and screamed in delight.
A fan page dedicated to SRK shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) where Coldplay is heard performing as the stadium went dark. In the middle of the music, Chris says, “Shah Rukh Khan forever. Go.” The band then resumes playing the music. The British band performed back-to-back hits, including A Sky Full of Stars and Fix You, among others.
