AR Rahman is making a comeback to Telugu cinema after many years. He is composing music for Ram Charan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RC16 directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
The shooting is in progress, and reports suggest that this pan-Indian film will be released by the end of this year. Rahman has already completed three songs, and the music is ready.
He is being paid Rs. 8 crores for this project, which is a huge amount for a music composer and the team has agreed to his price.
Ram Charan plays an athlete in this sports drama, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Sukumar is overseeing the script. The film is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.
A large portion of the shoot is happening on a specially built village set in Hyderabad. The makers are investing heavily in the film, and Ram Charan is also charging a high remuneration.
