Pradeep Ranganathan made a strong entry into Telugu cinema with Love Today. His next movie, Dragon, is set to release in both Telugu and Tamil this Friday. A big pre-release event was held in Hyderabad last night, with the movie team joining the celebrations.
Mythri is handling the Telugu release. Director Harish Shankar and producer SKN attended the event and made some bold statements.
Harish Shankar said that Telugu audiences watch all movies except their own and urged everyone to support Dragon.
SKN, who delivered a blockbuster with Baby, made a controversial remark. He said that while the industry welcomes non-Telugu actresses, he learned the hard way about supporting Telugu heroines.
He and director Sai Rajesh decided to encourage actresses from other languages. His statement was seen as a dig at Baby actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya, who reportedly turned down a project with the team after the film’s success.
