Released in 2013, the period romantic drama Lootera, starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, has joined the bandwagon of the re-release trend.
Lootera over the years has attained a classic status and a huge fan base because of its aesthetic direction and soulful soundtrack. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera will grace the screens for the second time on March 7, 2025.
Announcing its release, PVR Cinemas on Wednesday took to social media and shared the film’s poster along with a caption that read: “It’s time, everyone! Experience the magic of Lootera once again on the big screen, starting March 7. Re-releasing at PVR INOX on March 7!”
Fans expressed their happiness in the comments section, with one saying, “Omg my fav movie.” Another said, “Something worth watching for the 100th time!!”

About Lootera
Inspired by O. Henry’s 1907 short tale, The Last Leaf, Lootera revolves around a con artist, Varun (Ranveer), who poses to be an archaeologist and falls in love with an aspiring writer, played by Sinha. However, Varun has a secret life that turns things ugly between them.
The film also featured Barun Chanda, Vikrant Massey, Arif Zakaria, Divya Dutta, and Adil Hussain in key roles.
