Fans are eagerly waiting to see Ranveer Singh take over the Don franchise after Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. The film was announced in 2023 but reports of production delays surfaced. However director Farhan Akhtar has now confirmed that Don 3 will start shooting this year.
In an interview, Farhan clarified, “I’m not avoiding any questions. Don 3 will begin filming this year, and 120 Bahadur will release by year end”.
Last year, Excel Entertainment also denied any delays, stating that Ranveer and the makers are aligned with the schedule and aim to deliver a grand cinematic experience.
In 2023 a special video introduced Ranveer Singh as the new Don. He also shared a childhood photo of himself mimicking the iconic character expressing gratitude for this opportunity. Kiara Advani will play the female lead.
Meanwhile Ranveer was last seen in Singham Again which released during Diwali 2024. Farhan Akhtar is also gearing up for the release of Superboys of Malegaon, starring Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan, set to hit theaters on February 28th.
