Sivakarthikeyan recently attended the 90th anniversary celebration of Campion Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli where he studied.
During the event he recalled his school days expressing gratitude to his teachers by name and appreciating their role in his life. He mentioned bringing his daughter to visit the school and hopes to do the same with his children in the future.
A humorous moment occurred when a teacher named Valluvan left the hall mid-speech. Sivakarthikeyan playfully asked, “Sir, did I ever leave halfway during your class? Don’t you like my speech?” This brought laughter to the audience, and Valluvan returned to his seat, making the moment even more cheerful.
Reflecting on his academics, Sivakarthikeyan admitted he was an average student, particularly weak in mathematics. He shared how his father had to go to great lengths to secure his admission after his low entrance exam score. Despite scoring over 80% in his 10th-grade exams, he wasn’t active in cultural events at school but developed his passion for the arts in college.
He also reminisced about a teacher encouraging him to play a female role in an English drama, joking that it was his first time acting as a woman, even before his role in ‘Remo‘.
