RJ Balaji is teaming up with Suriya for Suriya 45 and the film is already creating buzz. The shoot is currently happening along Chennai’s East Coast Road, but it faced an unexpected roadblock.
During filming in Velichai village on the Kelambakkam-Vandalur stretch, temporary platforms were set up, leading to road closures. Concerned locals informed authorities, and the Kelambakkam police stopped the shoot due to a lack of proper permissions.
Officials advised the team to get approval from the Tambaram Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s office before continuing.
Despite this minor issue, the shoot is progressing at a fast pace, and the makers are planning a grand release in September.
The film, expected to be an emotional action drama, was initially set to have music by AR Rahman, but Sai Abhyankkar has now taken over.
Meanwhile, Suriya will next be seen in Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, releasing on May 1st.
