Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi‘s film Thandel was released on February 7th. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film’s music by Devi Sri Prasad has been a major highlight right from the beginning. All the songs became chartbusters, creating strong hype around the movie.
Produced by Bunny Vasu with a budget of Rs. 90 crore, the film had Allu Aravind as a co-producer, ensuring aggressive promotions. With positive word of mouth on its first day, Thandel recorded the highest opening in Naga Chaitanya’s career. The film has also achieved its break-even target.

Thandel did a theatrical business of Rs. 35.7 crore. To achieve break-even, the film needed to collect a share of Rs. 36 crore. In just 5 days, Thandel collected Rs. 37.10 crore share, not only recovering its investment but also making a profit of Rs. 1.1 crore. With this, the film has emerged as a clean hit. In terms of gross collections, the film has amassed Rs. 64 crore so far.
