The teaser for actor John Abraham’s The Diplomat was released on Friday, February 7. The teaser looks gripping and has already piqued fans’ interest, as the actor will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar. The film is directed by Shivam Nair and stars John Abraham in the titular role, alongside Sadia Khateeb, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra.
The 57-second-long teaser opens with a clip of S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, highlighting that Lord Krishna and Lord Hanuman were the world’s “biggest diplomats.” The scene then shifts to John Abraham, who plays Indian diplomat JP Singh, trying to rescue an Indian girl, Usma, essayed by Sadia Khatib, and bring her back to India from Pakistan.
The teaser introduces us to a new side of John Abraham, departing from his usual action-hero avatar. It promises a gripping drama that will keep viewers on the edge of their seat.
Based on a true story, The Diplomat is written by Ritesh Shah and produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, John Abraham (JA Entertainment), Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl (Wakaoo Films), Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma, and Rakesh Dang (Fortune Pictures/Seeta Films).
The Diplomat is slated for release on March 7, 2025.
