Actor Vicky Kaushal visited the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday to seek divine blessings ahead of his film Chhaava’e release. He took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, a sacred event that occurs every 144 years.
Vicky shared his experience of visiting the sacred site and told the reporters, “I’m feeling very good. I was waiting for this opportunity for a long time to be a part of Maha Kumbh. Now that I am here today, I am feeling very good and fortunate.”
The actor’s visit to the holy site comes ahead of the release of his upcoming film, Chhaava, which is scheduled to release this Friday, January 14, 2025.
As a part of Chhaava’s promotional activities, Kaushal and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna have visited several shrines, including the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, and Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, the 12th Shiva Jyotirling, near the Ellora Caves.
In Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal will essay the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Mandanna will play his wife, Maharani Yesubai.
The Hindi period drama has been helmed by Laxman Utekar.
