
Vijay Sethupathi has made a big donation to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) in Chennai. A trade analyst revealed that he contributed Rs. 1.30 crore to help build an apartment complex for workers in the film industry. In honor of his contribution, the building will be named Vijay Sethupathi Towers.
On Friday, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin officially handed over a government order that grants land for FEFSI, the Tamil Film Producers Council, the South Indian Artistes Association, and the Tamil Nadu Small Screen Artistes Association. FEFSI represents 23 unions and around 25,000 workers in the Tamil film and TV industry.
In 2024, Vijay appeared in three films. He began the year with Merry Christmas, directed by Sriram Raghavan, alongside Katrina Kaif. His 50th film, Maharaja, directed by Nithilan Saminathan, was a huge box office hit.
He ended the year with Viduthalai Part 2, directed by Vetrimaaran, co-starring Manju Warrier.
