Yash is playing Ravana in Ramayana and is currently shooting with Ranbir Kapoor in Mumbai. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari the film also stars Sai Pallavi. Ranbir and Sai Pallavi have already completed some key scenes, and now Yash has joined the sets. He is also co-producing the film.
Reports confirm that Yash began shooting for Ramayana: Part 1 on February 21st after two days of costume trials. Right now, they are filming intense war sequences at Aksa Beach in Mumbai. Once this schedule is done, the team will move to a studio in Dahisar for the next phase.
Ramayana
The movie will combine real locations, green screens, and heavy VFX. Ranbir is not part of this schedule since it doesn’t include the final battle between Ram and Ravana. Other key actors are currently shooting with Yash.
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is planned in two parts. The first part is set for a Diwali 2026 release with the second following in Diwali 2027. The film also features Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Indira Krishna in important roles.
