Rajinikanth is working with Lokesh Kanagaraj on Coolie. The movie is in its final filming and is expected to be released in theaters later this year.
The story revolves around gold smuggling and the producers have spent a lot of money on it.
The makers are now finalizing business deals and according to reports the digital rights of Coolie have been sold for a record Rs. 120 crores the highest for any Rajini film. Other deals are also being closed.
The film features King Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj and Shruti Hasaan in key roles. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has a special appearance and he recently shot his scenes.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie is planned for an August release with the final date to be announced soon. Anirudh is composing the music and background score.
