After a string of flops, Naga Chaitanya is taking his time. He has spent a year on Thandel, which is set to release next month.
His next project is a mystic thriller directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, known for Virupaksha. The team has been searching for the right actor to play the main antagonist.
According to reports, Bollywood actor Sparsh Shrivastava, known for Balika Vadhu and Laapataa Ladies, has been chosen for the role. A look test will be conducted soon.
The antagonist’s character is unique, requiring careful casting. Meenakshi Chaudhary is being considered for the female lead.
The film is tentatively titled Vrushakarma, with music by Ajaneesh Loknath. BVSN Prasad and Sukumar Writings are producing the film. Shooting will begin after Thandel releases, and the movie is expected to hit theaters this year.
