Pushpa 2: The Rule has changed the usual duration norms in Telugu cinema. The movie initially had a runtime of over 3 hours, but the makers later decided to add 20 more minutes, releasing a special version called Pushpa 2 Reloaded. This new version is now playing in theatres with extra content.
The added scenes help explain some confusing plot points from the original movie. For example, the new footage shows Pushpa remembering his childhood after he falls into the sea. In a flashback, a young Pushpa, who can’t swim, jumps into a pond as a challenge to prove himself to his friends and earn his family’s respect.

The reloaded version also reveals that Pushpa’s money is stuck in Japan. While transporting red sandalwood from Sri Lanka to Japan, Shekhawat kills Hamid and Jali Reddy, cutting off the connection. Pushpa, determined to recover his money, arrives in Japan in a container.
New scenes also show Mangalam Srinu and Shekhawat trying to outsmart Pushpa, but his clever counterplans keep the syndicate united and strengthen his control.
Fans who were left wondering about the locket scene in the first movie finally get an answer. In an emotional moment near the credits, Ajay places the locket around Pushpa’s neck, adding more depth to the story.
