Thandel is based on real life incidents. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi the film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It also pays tribute to Sushma Swaraj one of most respected politicians in India.
Sushma was known for helping Indians stranded abroad especially in bringing back Indian fishermen from Pakistani jails. This humanitarian effort is now portrayed in the film.
Producer Bunny Vasu met Sushma Swaraj’s daughter, Bansuri Swaraj who continues her mother’s legacy. He thanked her for allowing them to include these real life events in the film.
The movie keeps the real names of the fishermen and presents their struggles authentically. It also includes real footage of Sushma Swaraj.
Bunny Vasu expressed his gratitude, Director Chandoo Mondeti has woven a beautiful love story into these events, and Thandel is set to release on February 7th.
Heartfelt gratitude to @BansuriSwaraj garu for giving us the opportunity to showcase the remarkable work of your mother, the former Central Minister Mrs. @SushmaSwaraj garu, in bringing back the fishermen who were stuck in Pakistani jails in 2017 and 2018 in our #Thandel
