Vijaya Rangaraju, originally named Raj Kumar, who worked in both Telugu and Malayalam cinema, has passed away.
He was injured a week ago during a movie shoot in Hyderabad and was later taken to Chennai for treatment, but unfortunately, he passed away.
He made his debut in Telugu cinema with the legendary director Bapu’s Seetha Kalyanam and went on to act in several popular films like Bhairava Dweepam, Ashoka Chakravarthy, State Rowdy, and Vijay.
He gained a lot of recognition for playing the villain in Gopichand’s Yagnam.
He is survived by his two daughters Deekshita and Padmini. Apart from acting he was also passionate about weightlifting and bodybuilding. His last rites will be performed in Chennai.
