Vishwak Sen‘s latest movie Laila, directed by Ram Narayan, was produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner. Akanksha Sharma played the female lead. The film was released on February 14th. The movie gained attention due to Vishwak Sen’s lady getup, bold promotional strategy with double-meaning dialogues. Additionally, the controversy involving Prudhvi also contributed to the publicity.
However, despite all the buzz, Laila received negative talk right from the first show on its opening day. As a result, the film’s collections were disappointing.

Laila did a theatrical business of Rs. 7.5 crores. For the film to break even, it needs to collect Rs. 8 crores in share. However, on its first day, Laila managed to earn only Rs. 0.70 crores in share and approximately Rs. 1.30 crores in gross. This means the film still needs to collect another Rs. 7.3 crores in share to reach the break-even mark.
