
Preity Zinta firmly responded to allegations by the Congress party, which claimed she promoted the BJP on social media in return for having her Rs. 18 crore loan waived.
The Kerala Congress’s post on Twitter accused her of handing over her social media accounts to the BJP and benefiting from a loan write-off, linking it to a bank’s recent collapse.
In response Preity clarified that she had fully repaid the loan more than a decade ago and called the accusations baseless.
The actress known for her roles in Telugu films like Raja Kumarudu and Premante Idera now lives in the USA with her family.
She recently celebrated her 50th birthday.
