Bollywood cult romantic comedy Andaz Apna Apna, starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles, was released on November 4, 1994. The film is all set to be re-released this April after 3 decades.
While Salman and Aamir have not worked together since then, speculations around them reuniting for Andaz Apna Apna 2 have been making rounds on the internet for long. Now, a report by Zoom suggested that Aamir and Salman are already exploring the possibilities of a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna.
A source close to the development revealed that the discussion is at a nascent stage and was quoted as saying, “While the audience has not seen Salman Khan and Aamir Khan together on screen since Andaz Apna Apna, they might reunite for the sequel. Andaz Apna Apna is set to re-release in April, and this could be a hint that a sequel is in the making. Although nothing has been cleared as of now of the potential sequel.”
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Andaz Apna Apna is one of the most cherished comedies of all time and has acquired the status of classic over the years.
While not many details about the film’s sequel have been revealed, Aamir Khan on his birthday last year stated that Santoshi is working on Andaz Apna Apna 2 script and shared, I’m glad he started thinking about it because I think it will be a great film for all of us to do and for audiences to watch.”
