Chiranjeevi is a loving brother to Naga Babu, Pawan Kalyan, and his sisters Vijaya Durga and Madhavi. But not many know that he lost three siblings when he was young. In a recent interview he shared this heartbreaking memory.
“This makes me emotional every time I think about it. My mother lost three children either due to miscarriage or illness. They were just one or two and a half years old when they passed away”.
“When I was in sixth grade, I had a sister named Ramana. Back then, my father often traveled for work, and my mother cared for us alone,” Chiranjeevi said.
He continued “My sister Ramana was diagnosed with a brain tumor and passed away in a government hospital. My mother and I brought her body home in a rickshaw. We didn’t know how to perform the last rites”.
“At that time, our Muslim neighbors helped us with the rituals. By the time my father returned after hearing the news, we had already completed the final rites”.
