Lisa Ray recently criticized Air India on Twitter for denying a medical waiver for her sick father.
However, the airline responded the next day, calling her claims “unfounded”. They clarified that Lisa had booked tickets for herself and two others, but not for her father, whose medical documents she submitted.
Air India stated that Lisa initially contacted her travel agent instead of the airline.
When she later approached them, they offered options like a free date change or a one-year validity for future travel. However she declined and insisted on a full refund.
The airline urged the media not to spread misleading reports, emphasizing their commitment to customer care. Lisa had earlier expressed frustration over the denied waiver, questioning the airline’s empathy for passengers.
