However, she now faces a setback. Reports say she and her husband, Sanjay Passi, have been called for questioning over a tax issue.
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) in Meerut has summoned her regarding alleged GST evasion of over Rs. 20 crores by Pasco Motors LLP, a Tata Motors dealership.
Shalini, a former partner of Pasco Motors, received the summons on March 11th and must provide documents today, March 13th. Her husband’s lawyer denied the allegations, saying the case is now in court. The investigation is ongoing.
