Ilaiyaraaja is all set to perform in Malaysia with his concert Raaja Rhapsody at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
Ahead of the show, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim warmly welcomed the music legend to his office. He praised Ilaiyaraaja’s contribution to music and spoke about building stronger cultural ties between Malaysia and India.
The Prime Minister posted on Twitter saying it was an honor to meet Ilaiyaraaja and that they discussed the deep connection between the film and music industries of both countries. He also said Malaysia will continue to support and celebrate arts and culture.
He wished Ilaiyaraaja all the best for the concert and hoped it would be another proud moment in his career.
The concert will include a 70 piece orchestra and is expected to be a musical treat. It’s still unclear if the famous symphony Valiant will be performed at the event.
