
Director Nag Ashwin visited the Tirumala temple and offered prayers. Speaking to the media he shared that the script work for Kalki 2 the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, is progressing well.
He plans to start shooting by the end of this year. He also revealed that the sequel will focus more on Prabhas role as Karna and also on Ashwatthama’s character, promising a deeper narrative around them.
Kalki 2898 AD released in June 2024 and turned out to be a massive blockbuster. The film starred Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
With a global gross of over Rs. 1,180 crores, it became one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema. The film was produced by Ashwini Dutt and the music was composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Expectations are now sky high for the sequel.
