Vijay is stepping into politics, and his last film is titled Jana Nayagan. Directed by H. Vinoth the movie is in its final shooting stage giving the team enough time for post-production. The makers have officially announced that the film will release on January 9th, 2026.
Jana Nayagan has secured the biggest digital deal in Vijay’s career, with Amazon Prime acquiring all language rights for Rs. 121 crores.
KVN Productions is backing the project with a massive budget and has already closed major deals. Vijay is reportedly charging Rs. 200 crores for this film.
Pooja Hegde plays the female lead while Bobby Deol takes on the role of the main villain. The cast also includes Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, and Narain.
There are rumors that Jana Nayagan is a remake of the Telugu hit Bhagavath Kesari but the makers haven’t confirmed it.
