Bhumi Pednekar recently shared her struggles after her father’s passing. In an interview she recalled facing self doubt and searching for a stable job to support her family. Before becoming an actress she worked as a casting director.
She made her acting debut in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Now after a decade in the industry, she has established herself.
However her journey was not easy. She was expelled from school at 16 due to poor attendance but later connected with friends from film school to find opportunities in the industry.
After her father’s demise, Bhumi questioned if she could be an actress since she didn’t fit the typical image. She even considered becoming a director or producer.
Financial stability was her priority, so she focused on her work. Eventually, her talent was recognized, and she got her breakthrough in films.
