After a long wait, the trailer of Vicky Kaushal’s much-anticipated movie Chhaava is finally out. The period drama is based on the life of Maratha king and warrior, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and is adapted from a Marathi novel of the same name by Shivaji Sawant. It is set to release in theaters on February 14.
The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the bygone era of Indian history. Vicky Ksuahl looks majestic in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who bravely battles to protect his motherland from Mughal attack. Akshaye Khanna looks ruthless as Aurangzeb. We also see a glimpse of Diana Penty and Rashmika Mandanna, who essays the role of Vicky’s wife, Maharani Yesubai.
Packed with heart-thumping action scenes and dialogues, the trailer gives us a view of the multifaceted life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, his military campaigns, and his personal life. We also see hundreds of soldiers in the battle scenes and Kaushal engaging in a fierce fight with a lion.
Directed by Lazman Utekar, Chhava is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. It also features Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Neil Bhoopalam, Santosh Juvekar, and Pradeep Rawat in significant roles.
