Singer Monali Thakur, known for her hit songs like Sawar Loon, Haan Ke Haan, Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, and Zara Zara Touch Me, was rushed to a hospital in West Bengal after complaining of facing breathing issues.
The singer was performing the song Tune Mari Entriyan at the festival when she appeared distressed and stopped her live performance midway. Her team intervened and sought medical attention. Monali was then rushed to Dinhata Sub-District Hospital in Cooch Behar, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Mid-performance, the singer apologised to the audience and announced that she could not continue performing. She added, “I am extremely unwell today. The organisers know that the show was almost cancelled. It’s very difficult for me to promise and not keep it up.”
More updates on her health are awaited. Apart from singing, Monali has also worked in a film titled Lakshmi, which was released in 2014 and was directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
