Piracy has become a major concern for the TFI once again. Recently movies like Game Changer and Thandel were leaked online in HD quality within a day of their theatrical release.
This has raised serious concerns among producers, as piracy affects box office collections and the overall success of films.
Producer Dil Raju addressed the issue, stating that only the affected producer feels the impact, while the rest of the industry remains indifferent.
He pointed out that the lack of unity among filmmakers is a major reason why necessary changes are not being implemented. He emphasized that if producers stand together, they can bring about a solution to this growing problem.
Dil Raju revealed that no producer has approached him to discuss piracy-related concerns yet. However, as FDC president, he is planning a meeting with the police to find ways to combat piracy.
He urged producers to wake up and take action, reminding them that today’s victim could be Game Changer or Thandel, but tomorrow it could be their own film. He called upon all filmmakers to unite and work together to put an end to piracy in the industry.
