Actress and singer Sophie Choudry took to social media to express her frustration after a Swiggy delivery rider allegedly hit her car and fled the scene in Mumbai’s Khar West.
The incident happened on Friday and has raised concerns about road safety and the responsibility of delivery workers.
Sophie tweeted, tagging Swiggy and its customer care team, saying, “One of your riders hit my car badly and ran away at 1:15 PM”.
“It’s completely his fault, and it’s disgusting that he just left! I’m a regular Swiggy customer, but is this how your riders behave on the road?”
Swiggy responded apologizing for the incident and stating that safety and accountability are their top priorities. However neither Sophie nor Swiggy has shared any updates on the issue.
Meanwhile, social media users had mixed reactions, some sympathized with delivery workers facing pressure, while others criticized reckless driving.
