Thaman is known for his dedication to delivering blockbuster albums. Recently, he revealed that he is recomposing the songs for Prabhas The Raja Saab since the original tracks were not filmed yet. He believes this will keep the album fresh and match the grand scale of the film.
Thaman shared, “When audio labels invest Rs. 30-40 crores, it’s my duty to give my best. Since The Raja Saab is a Prabhas film, we wanted something bigger”.
“The earlier songs were composed long ago, and since they weren’t shot, I felt they lost freshness. So, we decided to scrap and rework them”.
While refreshing an album can enhance quality, it also adds costs. Some argue that good songs remain timeless, but Thaman’s experience suggests he has a solid strategy. Ultimately, audience entertainment is the priority.
Directed by Maruthi, Raja Saab stars Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Malavika Mohanan. The release date is yet to be announced.
